ACTION AND MOBILIZATION DAY January 26th 2008 The voice of Local Authorities Since 2001 local authorities around the world, placed within a framework of Local Authorities for the Social Inclusion and Participatory Democracy- LAF- celebrated en Porto Alegre, are being with World Social Forum in the belief of “Another World is Possible”. In this process, local authorities which have participated in LAF are understanding and promoting local authorities like active agents building alternatives to neoliberal globalization. That`s why we join together in GLOBAL CALL FOR ACTION promoted by WSF, which culminate on January 26th 2008 and continue with the next 2009 WSF on Belem do Pará (Brazil). This time is an important chance for showing everyone that another way of government is possible- supportive, sustainable, inclusive and democratic- and a chance for working together local authorities and social movements to go ahead with experiences and alternatives for Another World Possible. So, local authorities assume the Global Call for Action on January 26th 2008 proposed by WSF and commit ourselves: - Supporting, encouraging and disseminating initiatives of organizations and social movements. - Performing a communication platform with the testimony of Local Authorities to Another World. - Performing a press conference in our cities and countries to disseminate and amplify the activities of Global Action Day. - Holding a Local Authorities Forum for defense and promotion of Public Services (Córdoba, Spain, January 24 and 25th 2008). ACT TOGETHER FOR ANOTHER WORLD VOICE OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES Technical requirements

1. Video should be 3 minutes and 100 megabits.
2. Accepted video files from most digital cameras, video cameras and mobiles phones with file formats .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, .MPG
3. We recommend adjust the size to 320x240 pixels.
4. You can compress your video with films editors like Window MovieMaker or Apple iMovie, v.g.
5. These programs allows you to edit videos, add soundtracks and compress the size of files.
